After seven great driving routes through the Netherlands , we descend towards the south via Limburg and Belgium to arrive in La Douce France. Here are seven  random scenic driving routes through Belgium and France.

1. Drielandenpunt route

Autoroute which runs along the border triangle of the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium by the hills of South Limburg. Drive past the towns Feeding, Vaals, Aachen,Feeding to the end at Mount Saint Peter Maastricht. Do not miss the labyrinth at the border triangle and those interested in war history, visit the American cemetery iinMargraten where more than 8,000 victims were buried from WWII. Finish at the St Petersberg to stay afterwards in the nice Maastricht. The route can be  driven in a day,but of course you can stick to overnight by taking a look at Skyscanner Hotels .

2. 100 Great War routes

This year makes it 100 years since the First World War broke out. A large part of the Belgian province of West Flanders at that time was severely affected. To commemorate these events appropriately, this came about the project “100 Great War ‘set. Part of his six driving routes , each about 70 km long, to discover the landscape of war in
the West Flanders Flanders Fields. It takes you along the main World War I locations.

3. Route through Pas-de-Calais

From Calais, drive south along the coast. Take the D940 via Boulogne along the coast to Le Touquet. And round about the D349 Hesdin riverside Kwinte (Canche)for a varied and beautiful route. In the north you will find Saint Omer with many historical buildings. Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe can be found in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Le Touquet has lovely boutiques and quiet beaches. And you can take a glance at the belfries among other Hesdin and Bethun which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Belfries are symbols of communal freedom, an observation tower with clock tower and weather vane.

4. Autoroute through Provence

In Provence, you can make the best road trips along the Mediterranean coast, ancient villages and sparkling lavender fields. Drive the car from Avignon (sur le pont) to Arles, Salon-de-Provence, Pont du Gard with its fantastic Roman aqueduct towards Les Baux de Provence , one of the most beautiful places in France. You can be sleeping,eating and shopping  in Aix en Provence to go the next day to the charming port Cassis. Cassis combine with a visit to natural phenomenon Calanques de Cassis and you can make trips to La Cadiere d’Azur, Bormes les Mimosas.

5. Route de Napoleon

The Route Napoleon is a 324 kilometer long, marked, recognizable official route to large eagle drawing. The route runs from the Alps to the French Riviera. This is the historic process that followed Napoleon when he came out of exile on Elba Island. From the south begins the route around Golfe Juan (where he arrived with three ships and 1,200 men), Antibes, via Grasse, Digny, Sisteron, La Mure and Grenoble on the Route National RN85.

6. Route des Grandes Alpes

This 684 kilometer route runs through the French Alps. Starting in Thonon Les Bains from Cluses to Flumet, Besssans, Guillestre and Guillaumes to end on the seafront at Menton. This road trip departs on Lake Geneva and brings you to the Mediterranean on mountain roads and peaks as the Col de Saisies. 7. Loire route

The Loire is perfect for a road trip along castles along the banks of the Loire and fine wineries. Many artists and famous writers were inspired by the landscape of the Loire. Touring Places like  Blois with its Chateau de Blois where the French King Louis XII loved to stay and see in Amboise Royal Chateau d’Amboise . Stop at the bigger Tours, which was once the capital of the Kingdom of France and go to Angers for the beautiful Chateau d’Angers. The ride ends in Nantes, city of Jules Verne.
